Saf-Way Recycler is a subsidiary of Nu-Way Environmentalist of Georgia Incorporated. Howard and Marie Smallwood, the owners and founders of Saf-Way Recycler started picking up used oil over twenty-five years ago in a single axle pump truck and we are proud to say that our corporation still picks up oil from some of those same customers today. Most of our customers rarely know when we are providing them with the outstanding services we offer. Saf-Way, year after year, now employing three generations of Smallwood family members, quietly and consistently continues to pick up used oil, filters and anti-freeze from service stations, quick-lube businesses, fleet services, and auto dealerships in South and North Carolina with little or no disruption to their daily business routine.
We have learned over the years that what keeps businesses happy and coming back to us after they try one of our competitors’ “deals” is our unwavering loyalty to our customer and the fact that we offer a full range of services, from simple disposal of their used products to comprehensive state compliance inspections to accidental release response and clean up. We offer these services reliably and at a fair and consistent price. We understand that our customers are in business to service their own customer, not to worry about disposal of their used products or any of the numerous compliance laws. That’s why one of our goals is to assure our customers that we have those issues under control.
One
of the things some of our customers do not understand is the effort we
put forth to insure not only that we meet our goals above, but also to insure
that our environment is a cleaner and safer place for all of us today and
generations to come. Saf-Way has always treated and always will treat the
products they handle with utmost respect to our environment. Our personnel are constantly
trained so that they are up to date on the latest Environmental Protection
Agency and Department of Health and Environmental Control regulatory laws and
waste disposal directives. This training gives them the ability to offer our
customers valuable information and insights on whether their business is in
compliance with the requirements of the state and federal agencies mentioned
above.
Saf-Way has invested in all the right equipment and training so that we can continue to
comply with the requirements of the facilities that take your used products and
with the state and federal imposed compliance regulations. Our service fleet
has grown from that single pump truck twenty five years ago to an array of
trucks, tankers, trailers and other equipment to provide our customers their
choice of the best, most reliable and cost effective value added service
packages possible.
